To Hold or Not to Hold...Your Tongue

Many people wish that they could say the thoughts that are really on their minds, but rarely do. This blog will explore what one really thinks about normal everyday life occurrences and events. I often find myself thinking things that would be deemed totally inappropriate, rude, insensitive and politically incorrect in the public eye. I know that many of you are just like me...we hold our tongues in an effort to protect other people's feelings or are just too afraid to actually voice our true thoughts. This blog will let you share what you were really thinking!! Here's the first scenario:

I have a friend who calls me at least 6 times a week, which to me is incredibly ANNOYING!! Granted we have been friends for years and we don't live in the same city or state for that matter, but I just don't enjoy speaking to friends or associates more than maybe once a week if that. This friend seems to think that we're not as close as we used to be, but I think that we are the same. HELLO!!!!....we are not in high school anymore, I work full-time and am married which is another job in itself so talking to this person is not a priority. I wish I could tell her, "don't call me, I'll call you," but I just can't mustser up the courage to say it.

Please share similar experiences.

Ok, I have been there with a friend in the exact same situation and I was the one doing the calling. We are best friends and we would have those times when we didn't talk for awhile and then something would be going on that I needed to talk to her about I could never get through. It would drive me nuts sometimes, but I just let it go. When we talk we pick up from where we left off and you'd think that we talked every single day. Just tell her you have a lot going on and you'll get back to her when you can. Though it kinda hurts when you get thrown to the backburner.
